Why don’t people sue the owner of a limited liability business rather than the business if they can get more out of the owner?
This what I've heard, not sure if its true:
The main reason for setting up a Limited LIABILITY Corporation is to avoid the scenario you have addressed- getting sued.
The exposure is effectively only to the LLC, not to the individual owner. This is why they are universally displayed all across the country
