Green Investing, what does it mean?

If you are a person worrying about the surrounding environment of human beings, you might already have come to know about green investing in order to contribute conservation of the environment. In green investing, the profit is not the only motive and you, for instance, buy shares of the target company, that is committed to conserving the natural resources, pollution reduction, or other favorable practices to the environment in order to support this type of business. By doing this, not only you but also every environmentally-conscious individual can back green initiatives. Furthermore, there are three types of green investing that you might need to know and they are as follows: 

  1. Green Equities       example: Buying stock in companies
  2. Green Bonds         example: Fixed-income securities
  3. Green Funds          example: ETF

Finally, you should better know that there is no firm definition of the word "green," and it is open to dispute what qualifies as a green investment based on each individual’s standpoint.
